Personal Project
This project reimagines an existed but long-vanished cave eave structure outside of the Big Buddha Niche
at Huangze Temple, Sichuan, China. The existence of the structure was proved by the traces on the cliff.
After research, I inferred from the remaining drill holes that the existed structure was built in the early
Tang Dynasty. With the help of the Dunhuang Grottos and the relevant materials of ancient Chinese
architecture, I was able to rebuild the possible model of the existed structure in detail.
