By connecting different distribution of modules and structures, we are able to producedynamic allocation of the space beneath. With the help of the rulley system embedded at the base, the space is capable of moving and reshaping in the vertical and horizontal direction.
The activities inside such a structure may be highly shaped by the local residence culture. In a typical Chinese scenario, public semi-outdoor spaces are often occupied by the middle-aged or the elderly, enjoying their life of retirement by playing cards, drinking tea, and having small talk while enjoying the space, air, and sunlight that the architecture provides them. I hope the traditional Chinese elements in this project will help to recall and preserve more of this lifestyle.
